I put my F250 up for sale a few weeks ago, and I finally got an interesting trade offer:

1995 Turbo Mustang GT

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

A turbocharged 95 Mustang GT putting down 417hp. It looks like it’s in great shape, low mileage on the car, low mileage on the build.

As far as asking price, he’s $3500 above where I am on my truck and we’re talking about an even up swap. I think the car is worth more than my truck, so I’d be safe even if I just want to flip it as I tend to do.

What do you guys think? I’m usually wary of somebody else’s build, but man is this thing clean.

But what about the Rat National if you trade the truck for this?

Don’t get me wrong, I do like this Mustang, I just think the Rat National has more potential.

No matter which F250 it is it could probably be driven another ten years and half a million miles and only lose $20 maybe $30 in value. I don’t think the SN95s have hit their low value yet.

Wow, that does look clean. My initial inclination would be to go for it because it seems like a good deal, but I always get leery when someone is giving up something like that when it’s just been finished.

I can’t help but think “what is wrong with this car that the guy wants to let it go so soon after he’s done, and for so much less than not only he has in it, but what he’s asking for it”.

Very nice car, decent build list too. I wish mine was like that.

I wonder what was left out of the description. I’m curious about whether the chassis has been reinforced with subframe connectors, or if the T5 has been upgraded to handle all that extra power. I also don’t see any handling mods listed, nor do the engine pics show any caster/camber plates installed...

It actually looks really nice. If you are okay with learning and troubleshooting, then go for it but if you want it to work perfectly, might want to wait for something more stock. Id probably look around on mustang forums about this kind of turbo install so I knew what things to look for.

It’s cool but there is significant risk involved. Even if he did a perfect job on the build, that would be a pretty difficult car to sell down the road. There’s a reason he’s trading at $3000 below his asking price...

Right now, all I want is for somebody to offer to trade me a decent Escalade (for my wife) for the F250, and I'll just drive her Mercedes for a while. I'm pretty sick of cars in general at the moment.

Like why not just keep it, it works and they’re always going to be in demand. It won’t depreciate any. It will save you transferring titles, possibly getting a lemon, and it’s just one less thing to worry about now.

You could also keep driving it and have your wife keep driving the Mercedes.

I’m not crazy about my Ranger, but it works and I don’t have the time to go through buying and selling another car.
